Captions for every upload, without the files

If you're converting files to get captions onto YouTube, CaptionMe can skip the files entirely: connect your channel once and every new upload is transcribed, styled and published as its own caption track, with names spelled from your title and description. See plans or how it works.

Questions

Is my caption file uploaded anywhere?

No. The converter runs in your browser; the file is read and written on your device and never sent to a server.

How do I convert SRT to VTT?

Paste or open the SRT file, choose VTT (WebVTT), then download. Timing and text carry over; WebVTT adds its WEBVTT header and uses a dot before the milliseconds.

Does it keep styling?

Styling you set here goes into ASS and YTT files. Inline formatting in the source file (italics, colours, positions) isn't carried over: the converter keeps the text and timing.

Which format should I upload to YouTube?

SRT is the safest. WebVTT if you need simple bold or italic. YTT carries full styling, but YouTube paused it in January 2026, so test it on an unlisted video first.
